Dick Conner Correctional Center

Dick Conner Correctional Center is a medium-security state prison operated by the Oklahoma Department of Corrections, located in Hominy in Osage County in northeastern Oklahoma, about 55 miles northwest of Tulsa. Named after a former Oklahoma DOC director, the facility houses adult male inmates at medium security classification and is one of the significant mid-size prisons in the northeastern part of the state. Hominy is a small town in Osage County, which is part of the Osage Nation tribal territory. The facility opened in 1983 and provides correctional programming and work opportunities for medium-security inmates.

The relatively shorter drive from Tulsa compared to Oklahoma's maximum-security facilities in McAlester makes Dick Conner a more accessible option for northeastern Oklahoma families.
